The 5 Bundle Types That Consistently Lift AOV

Here are the five bundle types that consistently convert across every account we manage.

1. The Value-Stack Bundle

This is your “buy more, save more” pack.
Great for brands with consumables or items with natural replenishment cycles.

Why it works:
Customers feel like they’re getting a deal without sacrificing margin.

Where to use it:
Early access emails, VIP segments, replenishment flows.

Pro tip: Show the per-unit savings clearly. Small numbers convert big.

2. The Problem-Solver Bundle

Three or more products intentionally grouped to solve one customer problem.

  • Skincare? Build a “Clear Skin Starter Set.”

  • Pet products? “New Pup Essentials.”

  • Home goods? “Holiday Hosting Kit.”

Why it works:
People buy outcomes, not items. These bundles simplify the decision.

3. The “Complete the Set” Bundle

Perfect for brands with multiple complementary SKUs.

You’re not just selling items—you’re selling the full experience.

Example:
Water bottle → plus a carrier → plus a cleaning kit.

Where it shines:
Abandoned cart and browse emails (“You’re this close to the full setup”).

4. The Gift-Ready Bundle

Low friction. High conversion. Perfect for Q4.

What makes it gift-ready:

  • Pre-wrapped or comes with packaging

  • Easy “one-click gift” messaging

  • Appealing to people who don’t know what to buy

Why it works:
You remove mental effort during the busiest shopping period of the year.

5. The “Build Your Own” Bundle

Customers choose 2–4 products and unlock a bigger discount.

Why it works:
Control feels good. Customization boosts perceived value. Your margins stay protected because customers select from preset options.

How to Sell Bundles Inside Email (Without Feeling Pushy)

1. Lead with value, not discount.

“Save 20%” is fine.
“Everything you need in one pack” converts better.

2. Add a visual comparison block.

Show:
Buying items individually = $128
Buying as a bundle = $89

This is one of the highest-performing elements in bundle emails.

3. Use scarcity without gimmicks.

“Only 200 bundles available” feels real.
“Only 2 left” feels fake (and hurts trust).

4. Make your CTA hyper-obvious.

Top + middle + bottom.
Buttons like:
